At Biggins Hill Studio we create spaces with character, balance and a deep sense of place. Our passion is creating unique and beautiful outdoor spaces that have people at their heart. Every place has its own wonderful character, and we work to capture and enhance that essence within your garden. We work closely with you to develop the existing site into a space which inspires you, an elegant place to take in each moment.

Our designs highlight the natural beauty of your space, creating a connection between you, your garden and the wider environment. As spaces for outdoor living, our gardens are thoughtfully balanced in design, ensuring aesthetics and practicalities blend seamlessly. Our naturalistic approach to planting creates an ever changing space, celebrating seasonality and nature, creating those moments for you to relish and enjoy throughout the year.
​As trained gardeners we combine our horticultural knowledge with design, enhancing spaces and allowing us to continue to manage your garden. We also work with existing gardens, to develop and manage these with you over time.
Our team brings together experience, passion, and a diverse range of skills to create or enhance your garden. Whether crafting thoughtful designs, refining construction details or working hands-on in the soil, our dedication to both design and gardening is at the heart of everything we do.

Matt Biggins
Partner
A passionate garden person at heart, leading to a career change from engineering consultancy, Matt is RHS trained with a Diploma in Garden Design from the Yorkshire School of Garden Design. It’s Matt’s deep personal passion for gardens that truly fuels his work.

Combining his skills and enthusiasm, whether out and about developing borders or drawing up construction drawings for designs Matt brings a well-rounded approach and a thorough understanding of garden design to each project.​
Richard Hill
Partner
Spending much of his childhood exploring the Suffolk countryside Richard developed a profound connection to the natural world. Following a science degree and many years experience working for a multi-national food manufacturer Richard fulfilled his desire to pursue his true interests by changing career. Richard is RHS trained with a Diploma in Garden Design from the Yorkshire School of Garden Design.

His knowledge and passion for plants and wildlife inspire his design work. This drives him to create spaces that are visually and ecologically rewarding, and uplifting for the people that use them.
Catherine Arnold
Gardener
​​Cat brings a fresh perspective to her role, having spent 10 years working in logistics, including leading sales for a multinational third-party fulfilment company. After years of experience in the corporate world, she decided to follow her passion for nature and the outdoors.
With over a decade of hands-on experience managing her own allotment, Cat has developed a strong understanding of plant care, seasonal cycles, and the practical side of gardening. She brings a thoughtful, down-to-earth approach to every garden she works in, with a genuine appreciation for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
